Oh Christ, I'm not that desperate.... Oh no. Oh god. I am.

Instructions:
1. Choose up to five of your own characters.
2. Make them answer the following questions.

I chose:
1. Ila
2. Dalen
3. Bathl
4. Daniel
5. Jin

What's your opinion on reading and writing?

Ila: It’s fairly important; not the most important thing to learn, but definitely crucial.
Dalen: …A waste of time. Sword-fighting is much more important.
Ila: No wonder you struggled in your studies….
Dalen: Yeah, well you want to know how much I’ve had to read since I left home? Never! But I’ve been fighting non-stop!
Daniel: Um…I enjoy reading. I haven’t had a chance to in a long time, but I do like to.
Bathl: (nodding in agreement with Daniel) Reading is wonderful.
Jin: Since languages alter considerably every five hundred years or so, I’d say it’s fairly important to keep on top of it all. And, the best way to do that is to read.

What's your opinion on maths, sciences, and language(s)?

Ila: Sciences? And why would I want to learn another language? There’s no way to; all the other races keep their language so secretive. It’s rather annoying.
Dalen: What Dad said.
Bathl: Of course I tried to learn all I could, since…my powers aren’t really the best there are. But, I never have noticed a difference with languages. I just…understand them all. Can’t speak a word of any different ones, but I understand them.
Daniel: (looking to Bathl) Really? That’s your Gift? That’s pretty cool.
Bathl: Yep. And thank you.
Dalen: (snorting) Yeah, instead of a getting a useful one like yours, he gets that.
Bathl: It’s come into use from time to time.
Jin: It certainly has. I’m still trying to learn some of the languages out there, but, as the demon-
Ila: Prince Ila.
Jin: Forgive me, as Prince Ila said, many languages are kept secretive; outsiders are never taught to speak it. Which is a huge problem. And for the others? Math and science? Well, I suppose math is fairly important, but science keeps changing its ideals, all towards discovering very little. I don’t see the point of it.

What is the best way to learn something?

Ila: Hands on. You can never learn to draw a sword by simply reading about it.
Jin: That was excellently put, Your Highness.
Dalen:…You are not sucking up to my dad.
Jin: Whoever said that I was? He simply explained exactly what I was thinking.
Bathl: I second that.
Daniel: I don’t know; I’d rather like to read about something first, learn what I can, before jumping right into things. That way, you know (shoots a look at Dalen), I don’t stupidly endanger everyone around me.
Ila: (glaring at Daniel) You will take care to speak only with respect to members of the royal family.
Daniel: Dalen’s royalty? Since when?
Bathl: He is Prince Ila’s son. Though he has fled from the Rhye, he is still of royal blood.
Daniel: (blinking) Oh, I thought you were calling him ‘My Lord’ to annoy him.

To what degree do you avoid risks and danger?

Ila: It is highly important confront any and all threats to set an example that you are not weak.
Bathl: I would prefer to quietly avoid any and all danger-
Ila: (shooting a look at Bathl) You are the Jhen who is now Dalen’s bodyguard? With such ideals, it’s no wonder Dalen is always getting into trouble.
Bathl: With all due respect, Your Highness, Dalen has a way of…running into danger at every possible opportunity.
Dalen: Damn straight.
Jin: I try to look for dangerous characters, to rid the world of them.
Daniel: …I don’t run into danger all that often. Except whenever I’m around Dalen.

Under what circumstances would you risk your life for someone else?

Jin: I will do whatever possible to keep Sophie safe.
Dalen: What!? That’s my line! I do everything to keep her safe!
Jin: Yes, but you put her in more danger; that’s hardly doing an effective job, don’t you think?
Dalen: Why you-
Ila: (quietly, to Bathl) Who is this ‘Sophie’?
Bathl: (quietly) A love interest of Prince Dalen’s, Your Highness. She is a lovely girl.
Ila: (quietly) Ah. (In a normal tone) For family, I would do anything. If it appears their life is in danger, I would gladly risk my own to save them.
Daniel: Risk my life? Eh…I don’t know if I would definitely do that for someone else. It’d be nice to say that I would, yeah, but if the situation actually came up? I dunno.

Under what circumstances do you think killing someone justified, in general?

Ila: Committing an act of treason, murder, attempt of murder, suspicion of attempt of murder….
Jin: (grinning) Committing a crime. Any crime.
Dalen: I kill only in self defense, or to protect Sophie.
Bathl: I don’t know if I feel it is ever justified; however, I know it is necessary at times.
Daniel: …I don’t understand how you guys all talk so calmly about this. This is a terrible topic. Though, if anyone did try to steal from my dragons, I wouldn’t hold them back from killing them. But, that’s different, right?

Under which circumstances would you, personally, kill (or have you killed) someone?

Ila: I was in a war; killing was inevitable.
Dalen: I’m being followed by people who are trying to kill me. I have to kill them sometimes.
Bathl: I have never killed anyone, nor do I wish to. I have badly injured quite a few, which is more than I would ever like to do.
Jin: I kill every night. It’s the wish of the gods; how can I deny that?
Daniel: (looking at everyone with a look of slight disgust) I…don’t know. I don’t like talking about this.

What is the worst feeling you experienced?

Daniel: Coming back to the cave one night to find that some motherfucker had crushed all of Ruby’s eggs while we were gone. It took all my restraint to keep her from massacring the nearest town- I almost wanted to.
Jin: Getting caught in the sun.
Ila:…When Ellie died.
Bathl: Seeing Emily’s heartache over Andy.
Dalen…None of your business.
Daniel: You aren’t going to answer? We all did.
Dalen: No.

And what is the best feeling?

Ila: Finding out I was a father.
Daniel: Riding on Ruby’s back while she’s flying. God! There’s nothing in the world like it!

Bathl: Seeing Emily smile.

Dalen: The rush of adrenaline while fighting.

Jin: Being near Sophie.
Dalen: (glaring at Jin) You aren’t going anywhere near Sophie!

Jin: (smirking) Oh? And you’re going to stop me?

1) What's your character's name?
Dalen.

2) How old is he/she?
He’s 18.

3) Is your OC a boy or girl?
He’s a boy, very much a boy.

4) What's his/her race?
Half-demon, half something else I haven’t thought of a name of. But, it’s a race that has wings. His wings were cut off when he was an infant though.

Appearance:

1) If this character were to suddenly become part of the 3D world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get?
If he wasn’t wearing a hat to cover his horns, quite a few. Maybe a few screams, at his tail too.

2) Is your character considered normal in his/her own world?
No. His horns stopped growing when he was about 10, so they’re extremely small for his age. And, y’know, being only half demon is kinda odd.

3) What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)?
Curly black hair, horns and a tail.

4) Would you consider your OC to be attractive?
 Sure, why not.

Personality:

1) Temper:
He’s definitely got a temper, but he doesn’t stay angry for too long.

2) Does your character ever get depressed?
No.

3) Leader or Follower?
 Definitely a leader.

4)What is the main aspect of his/her personality?
He’s extremely rough around the edges, and can get pretty hostile, but he’s got a good code of ethics.

5) Likes.
Swordplay, Sophie, milk, days with no wind, birds.

6) Dislikes.
Vampires, people who antagonize him, his uncles and cousins, thunderstorms.

History:

1) Does your OC have a family of any sort?

He’s an only child. His mother died (meaning, was killed) while giving birth to him, but he had his daddoo. His dad is part of a large family, so Dalen had many cousins. But, his father was killed when he was fifteen, and he really avoids the rest of the family. So…as of now, no, no family.

2) Is your character out on his/her own?

Nope! He’s got friends; Bathl, who is supposed to act as a bodyguard, but instead Dalen ends up protecting him; Sophie, who got roped into this by accident; Emily and Andy; twin elves who are being trained by Bathl.

3) Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events?
Yes. Definitely. His life is full of them.

4) What was probably the best time in his/her life so far?
Best time? It would either be training sessions with his father (a very rare occasion in his childhood), or when he was finally able to get away from his family, so that his troubles would end (or so he thought).

Romance:

1) Single?
Nope. He and Sophie are lovebirds.

2) Has your OC developed any romantic relationships?
Yes, with Sophie.

3) Virgin?
 Yep.

4) Does your character like flirting?
He doesn’t understand what the concept of flirting is, so no.

Symbolism:

1) What animal would you associate your OC with?
 A hawk.

2) Musical Instrument?
 Cello.

3) Element?
 Wind.

4) Planet?
Mars, definately.

Showing the Love:

1) Do you draw your character?
All the time.

2) Do you write about him/her?

Occasionally. I’m building up until I actually write his story from beginning to end/create a comic about him.

3) Do you use him/her in any rpgs?
No.

4) What other ways have you appreciated your OC?
I…do lots and lots of memes with him in it. O.O

RANDOMIZE!

1) Is your character wanted for anything?
Treason, but it’s not a real act of treason. His family just wants an excuse to kill him, so they said he committed treason.

2) What are three weaknesses in him/her?
He’s very rash; he leaps into battle too quickly without thinking it through. This gets him in more trouble than he’d like.

He is overly sensitive about his scars on his back from when his wings were cut off. Not only does he hate to have anyone know about them (not even Bathl or Sophie do), they are much more sensitive to pain than any other part of his body. The slightest bit of pressure on them causes him pain. Because of this, he sleeps on his stomach.

Sophie. She is his biggest weakness. He would do anything just to make her happy, anything at all. This mostly is due to the fact that she’s a New Soul, but he is head over heals in love with this girl. It’s disgusting.

3) Strengths?
 He can swordfight extremely well.

He’s a natural born leader, and can make hard decisions when necessary.

4) Does your OC drink or smoke (ect.)?
No, but I think if he were to discover alcohol, he’d become an alcoholic.

5) What's one quirk about him/her?
Milk is his absolute favorite drink. Since he’s constantly on the move, he rarely gets to drink it, as the most common readily available beverage is water. When he gets a chance to drink milk, he gets very excited.

6) Does your character have any phobias?
Heights, pitch-darkness.

7) What could you do to get him/her into a blind rage?
Steal his milk, punch Sophie, put Jin in front of him.

8) Does your OC like chickens?
Not to eat. He refuses to eat anything with feathers on them.

Nope! He’s got friends; Dalen and Sophie, and Emily and Andy.

3) Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events?
A few, but nothing that really has stuck with him much. Except for James Forrest. He will never be able to enter another forest again without fearing for his life.

Treason, but it’s not a real act of treason. He’s just got the luck to be with Dalen, really.

2) What are three weaknesses in him/her?
He’s laidback and slow moving.

His powers are practically non-existent. So…he really isn’t any help at all in any fighting scenes.

He’s a little clumsy.

3) Strengths?
He can understand any and all languages. Speaking them is another issue, though.

He is extremely loyal, and would do anything that Dalen asks of him.

4) Does your OC drink or smoke (ect.)?
Nope!

5) What's one quirk about him/her?
He enjoys annoying Dalen with his laidback attitude. A lot.

6) Does your character have any phobias?
Large bodies of water. He’s afraid of what could be living underneath the surface

7) What could you do to get him/her into a blind rage?
Wow…a lot, since he doesn’t really get angry. I’d have to…hurt Sophie, Dalen and Emily all at once.
